EPDM GASKETS 

Shelf-Life: 5 years, manufacturer’s recommendation.
Gasket material should preferably be covered so that light, radiation and humidity or vapors cannot get to the material.  Ideal storage temperature should be at 70° F.

EPDM STANDS FOR ETHYLENE PROPYLENE DIENE MONOMER THIS MATERIAL HAS THE HIGHEST RATING OF ANY GASKET MATERIAL FOR USE WITH SULFUR DIOXIDE. EPDM HOWEVER IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITH CHLORINE AND VITON IS SIMILARLY AVOIDED FOR USE WITH SULFUR DIOXIDE.

SULFUR DIOXIDE RECOVERY VESSEL - Not Currently Available

The Sulfur Dioxide Recovery Vessel (#SRV) was designed to contain leaks that may occur in SO2 cylinders which conform to specifications DOT 3A480.  The Recovery Vessel is designed to totally encapsulate a leaking   cylinder by inserting and securing the entire cylinder within the Recovery Vessel itself.  This design allows the vessel to handle most leaks that may occur including leaks in the cylinder neck and foot-ring areas that the Kit "A" is not designed to contain.  A DOT exempt certificate is furnished with each vessel along with a hand wrench, valve wrench, and instruction manual. Recovery Vessels are also available with wheels.

SULFUR DIOXIDE EMERGENCY KIT "C"

Kit "C" includes devices and tools to contain leaks in and around the pressure relief device and angle valves of tank cars, DOT 105J500W, cargo tanks, MC331, & portable tanks, DOT 51. NOTE: KIT IS DESIGNED FOR 1" VALVES BUT THE STANDARD 24A1 HOOD, INCLUDED IN THIS KIT, WILL FIT OVER THE 2" ACF ANGLE VALVE #1316 MODIFIED FOR THIS PURPOSE.  CONTACT ACF FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONCERNING THIS VALVE AND THE REQUIRED MODIFICATIONS TO THE MANWAY COVER BOLTS FOR ITS USE WITH EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT.
